About Mark

As a graduate of West Fargo Public Schools, Mark knows what makes our schools great—and how we can improve.

Community

Mark grew up in the West Fargo community and returned to the community after graduating college.

He served in the office of Gov. Doug Burgum for three years, spending the majority of that time as the deputy communications director. Mark currently works in policy and outreach for the North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota chapter of The Nature Conservancy. He lives in West Fargo.

Education

In 2013, Mark graduated from West Fargo High School. He had a front row seat to the district’s exponential growth in population and brings a unique perspective to the school board.

Mark received his undergraduate degree in economics from Harvard University in 2017, with one secondary degree in government and another in energy & environment.

School Board

Mark began serving on the West Fargo School Board in August 2021. He was appointed to fill the unexpired term of a resigning board member.

In his time on the school board, he has helped introduce a Learner Advisory Board that comprises student representatives from the district’s three high schools to give students a voice in decisions that affect them.
